Skills and why they are neededskills and why they are neededJust like I have said in values, there is obviously more than one needed, same for the skills.
I picked out two (or four, depending on what you think) skills that I think are most important for being a veterinarian. The skills that are needed the most are: Science/math and speaking/active listening. Math and science might be pretty self explanatory, but I'll go into it anyway. Math and science are needed because you need to be able to know how much medicine is needed for the animals and what medicine to give them, and also to be able to research material well and know how to test medicines and what science (life science, anatomy, so on) you need for that specific part. Speaking and active listening skills are very important as well. You need speaking skills because you need to be able to talk in meetings, large groups, patients, your boss and co-workers. Listening skills because if you are not constantly listening you may miss very important information that is critical to know or what to do next or what medicine to give, but that also goes along with the science skills. |
